About Us
With more than a century of family history in Cass County and Plattsmouth, Wiles Development, LLC, is a locally owned and operated company with deep roots in the community. It began in the mid-1800s when Stephen Wiles was one of the area’s first settlers. The Luke Wiles Sr. homestead was the backdrop for travel by stagecoach, Pony Express, Indian encampments and wagon trains of pioneers heading west. In 1867, Isaac Wiles authored the bill that designated the state motto and design of the state seal. Like the Wiles family members before them, Wiles Development, LLC, has been the host to great progress in the Plattsmouth area.
Today, we are committed to fostering community growth and development in order to positively influence residents’ quality of living.
The Wiles family farming operation has been passed down through three generations. Our family has also served as a provider of fertilizers, chemicals and seeds for local and regional farmers.
Wiles Development is a collaborative effort of Annette and Bruce Wiles. The Wiles Crossing property is primarily owned by the Wiles brothers and is marketed and managed by Wiles Development.
Annette Wiles
President of Wiles Development, LLC
With more than 25 years of national and international corporate business experience, Annette Wiles has extensive knowledge in profitability opportunities, expense controls, liability situations and contract negotiations. She has been active in real estate development during the past five years and attended the Randall School of Real Estate.
Wiles is a member of several nonprofit boards, including the Cass County Nebraska Economic Development Council, the Plattsmouth Community Foundation Fund and the Nebraska Multiple Sclerosis Society. She also serves on the Plattsmouth Chamber of Commerce, the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce, Cass County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), and the Mid-America Council Boy Scouts of America Board. In 2010, Wiles graduated from the State Chamber’s Leadership Nebraska program.
Bruce Wiles
Vice President of Wiles Development, LLC
A Plattsmouth area farmer, Bruce Wiles presently owns and manages Wiles Bros. Inc. and Wiles Bros. Fertilizer & Chemical Inc. with his two brothers, Marvin and Glenn. During the past 30 years, he has gained experience in 1031 land exchanges and has successfully purchased and sold real estate.
In 1976, Wiles and his brothers started Wiles Bros. Fertilizer & Chemical Inc., an independent-based company, to supply seed, chemical and fertilizer to customers. Wiles has helped the company become one of the most respected and successful dealers in the Midwest.
